This is a generic guide to take backup of your valuable contacts, notes, phone information and all the data that is present in the memory card.
I will explain the process that I follow to take my N73 backup using Nokia PC Suite. Download the latest version of nokia pc suite if you don't have it.

Step 1.
Connect your nokia cell phone with the computer with the USB cable. Open Nokia PC Suite and Click on Backup. A new window will pop up.


Step 2:
The new window will show your connected phone. Here it shows Nokia N73 connected. Click on the button as marked in the picture. You can select what all you want to take backup of.


Step 3:
Select and tick the items you want to take backup of. After you are done click next.

Step 4:
Backup will be stored in a folder chosen by you. Select the folder where you want the nokia content copier save the backup file.


Step 5:
Nokia content copier will start backing up your cell phone contents. A note of warning. Do not plug out or disconnect your cell phone once the back up is in process.


The above process will create a (.NBU) file. The same file can be restored using the same content copier.
